Purpose of this Dyslexia Awareness Wheel

The purpose of this Dyslexia Awareness Wheel is to support you to further develop your awareness that relates to the following questions: 

  1. What is dyslexia?
  2. Does dyslexia exist inside you?
  3. Is the cause of dyslexia genetic?
  4. Is dyslexia a psychological condition?
  5. Is dyslexia a lifelong condition?
  6. Is it possible to overcome all dyslexia difficulties?
  7. Is your understanding of dyslexia supporting you to overcome dyslexia difficulties?
  8. Is your understanding of dyslexia clear or foggy?
  9. How much effort are you putting in to further develop your understanding of dyslexia?
  10. Do you have a plan of action to further develop your understanding of dyslexia?
  11. Have the questions in this Dyslexia Awareness Wheel been useful in supporting you to further develop your understanding of dyslexia?
  12. Has this Dyslexia Awareness Wheel been useful in supporting you to further increase your awareness of what dyslexia means to you? 

Instructions

  1. Try to only think about each question long enough so that the question doesn’t strain your brain power too much (if you start to feel that Dyslexia Awareness Wheel is having a negative influence on your mental wellbeing or general wellbeing, stop the assessment and seek professional help).
  2. Try to rate each question but if you are feeling stuck or feel that the question doesn’t apply to you feel free to skip the question.
  3. Once you have completed this Dyslexia Awareness Wheel, study it for a while and see if it might be of use to you in putting together an action plan on how to further develop your understanding of dyslexia.
  4. If you find it useful, you can retake this Dyslexia Assessment Wheel as often as you like so that you can make comparisons between a new assessment and your previous assessments (all your previous assessments can be found in the ‘History’ tab in your Dyslexia Awareness Wheel Dashboard).
